Battlefield 4 Multiplayer Info & Gameplay

Are you only going to able to play as commander on tablets? In that case I see a lot of stuff going horribly wrong with that setup.
Take for instance when the game is 3-4 months old, the initial hysteria with the game has died down a bit and people start getting comfortable with it. I mean that is the time period when people either realize that they like it or absolutely hate it. This is where I see many people with tablets starts to give up on it, and all of a sudden you could be stuck in a game where the enemy team has a greatly superior commander, which could turn the tide of the game completely, and you don't have any commander at all. Where does this leave your team then but in a meat grinder trying desperately to capture that one flag whilest being bombarded with Tomahawks and so forth.

And if you are able to play as commander while on a PC, does this mean that you aren't able to directly participate in the game and that you're stuck sitter there just looking at your commander screen?

This is just one of the things that worry me a bit.

yep commander can really mess with balance...lot of rounds in bf3 are very unbalanced and commander will make it even worst, but we will see..anyway any server owner will be able to disable commander for his server

You can play as commander in-game, but I think if you play as commander, you wont be able to play as inf on the battlefield...so you just do commander stuff in the commander mode

Well, if I wanted to play Command & Conquer, I'd play that instead. :P
Seriously though, why wouldn't they just have it as they did in BF2?
But then again, if you look at the down side of that, the Commander might often be a douche who puts his powers to help himself. i.e he's camping in the hills and he's running out of ammo. Solution - send an ammo drop near his own position! :P

I think you'll be able to votekick the commander from his post if he sucks..not sure though, but should be an option

Absolutely. I'd have trouble imagining that they'd release the game without that feature.

Or if he's just AFK and taking up the commander slot.. :P
