FG Warzone

Hey guys i am server admin for the {WeB} clan and am very keen on running FG Warzone final map on our server but we have an issue. There are 2 versions of the map beta1_flame-guards.pk3 and flame-guards.pk3 now maybe this has not happened for you guys but for some strange reason when i open the pk3 files to get the short name for the campaign.pk3 they are both called flame-guards. If i run the old version then the bots get stuck but the campaign list is fine whereas if i run the latest version of the map with the latest bots then the map works fine not stuckages for the bots but the map will not appear in the campaign list i get the message on the loading screen that not all the maps in the current campaign are downloaded. here is a copy of the campaign.pk3 txt i do not believe i made any errors but feel free to check.
any help anyone could give me with this would be greatly appreciated as this is driving me nuts!

I believe that you ran against an error in the .arena file of the map. Marko made a slight mistake by using an enter in the .arena-file, often messing up the campaign listing. I've fixed it for you (with the same short name, as the map in fact is not changed). You can download it here Please let me know whether it worked out for you!

Thank you so much for the rapid response I have to say a huge thank you for saving my sanity i spent a good few hours trying to sort that out even changing the map short name to flame-guards-final flame_guards_final and every other permutation i could come up with. You have saved me an awful lot of time and it is very much appreciated. The way you refer to Marko i am guessing he is well known to you if you are still in contact please convey my best wishes as he is without doubt my favourite ever map maker. On our 70map server i think we have Beach Bayraid Daybreak Egypt Hotchkiss Temple and now Flame guards and i very much wish he were still making maps as they are a constant source of delight to me and my clan mates as a clan we have been together around 8 yrs and still have a thriving server which is very much team oriented we always use objective based maps as opposed to frag maps. I only recently took over as server admin so am still very much in the learning curve so apologies if in future any of my questions seem simplistic or obvious its a big task learning the server stuff and unlike some other websites that i have asked question on your quick response and explanation have made a difficult task easy for me.

BTW as i stated earlier we are running MLB Beach and i have searched http://svn.assembla.com/svn/omnibot/Enemy-Territory but can only find .gm and .way files in 0.66 revision for it do you know if there were ever a goals.gm ever made for it or updated for 0.80

There are waypoints for this map in/omni-bot/et/incomplete_navs/with_script so i think they did not finish these waypoint and gm but you can try them out.
And they are for 0.80

Yup found them but they still not great after generator is destroyed they don't /kill to fall back to the back base radar. If anyone knows of any other Bots for MLB Beach I would be very grateful..

I had the luck of knowing about his bug, and when you started about campaign lists I remembered it. So it was a slight guess to be honest. Good to know it worked out well, cheers

Marko created the map many years ago, even before I was member of FlAme GuArds, so I don't really know much about him - except for the map making part then. I believe Marko also made El Kef (which is slightly smaller). You can visit his website here

Lol yup I was christened as the clan hippy and the only hippy in WWII movies is the fantastic Donald Sutherland as Oddball in Kelly 's Heroes.

Thanks for the link I have it bookmarked! Quick question for you VWOer would you mind if I uploaded the fixed pk3 to wolffiles.de and make a post on splatterladder about the fixed version? Just in case it saves some other server admin the campaign issue I had? Oh and just a heads up our clan has just gone over to ETLEGACY which radeghast and his team have been developing its not a mod but a updated version of ET which allows much better graphics has a built in minimiser and I think it transforms the gameplay has a lot less lag issues.
